ThisisRnB Presents: The Top 20 R&B Albums of 2014

By

20 Albums, I know that’s a lot! But R&B is alive and well, and there were even more that we had to exclude.  However, there were 4 albums that were all apart of the discussion, but ended up staying off the list because they leaned too far toward Pop or other various genres.  These 4 albums were all great releases as well and they are listed for you below…

Pharrell – ‘G I R L’

Sam Smith – ‘In The Lonely Hour’

Jessie Ware – ‘Tough Love’

Mali Music – ‘Mali Is…’

I liked Mariah’s album as well. I’m still shocked that not to many people got to hear it. Dave Hollister and Johnny Gill and Dave Hollister’s albums were also pretty decent.

D’Angelo definitely had my favorite album last year.

Chris Brown & August Alsina had some good albums too but that’s about it. I hope Badu and Soulchild come with some heat this year.
