Buzzing Alt-Soul duo Lion Babe are making some serious leaps and bounds with their new single “Jump Hi” featuring Childish Gambino. The group, comprised of singer Jillian Hervey (Vanessa William’s daughter) and producer/musician Lucas Goodman, have now released the music video for the infectious tune, sans Gambino.
Hervey lets loose as she shows off her dance background, and gets some real air, while Lucas kicks his feet up while playing guitar, in the NYC based visual. Jillian’s soulful vocals enthrall with an Erykah Badu-like tone as she rides the groovy track, which samples Nina Simone’s “Mr. Bojangles.”
