About two weeks ago the rumors began. Last year’s biggest surprise was going to continue less than a year later, with Beyoncé releasing a 4-disc deluxe edition of her self-titled fifth album.
It’s holiday time, so expecting Bey to release concert DVD’s is almost guaranteed, it wasn’t hard to believe that at least 2 of those discs would be DVD’s including concerts from “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” and the “On The Run Tour” with Jay Z. One disc would probably be the original version of her last album, but what could the fourth one be?
Over the weekend, a very interesting image was “leaked” online (it’s validity has not been confirmed) of a one-sheet project memo from her company Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. The photo of this memo includes full details of the rumored monster release entitled BEYONCE – The Complete Edition, which indeed shows the tracklist for another album with 11 new songs, and features from Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Nicki Minaj.
The document states that a digital edition of the album will hit iTunes on Nov. 14, and that the 4-disc physical copy will hit retail stores on Nov. 25. One error that it clearly makes is stating that Nov. 25 is a Monday, when it is actually a Tuesday this year. It could be a simple mistake or a hint that the image is all a hoax. What’s also worth noting though, is that two of the new songs on the “reissue” are registered on ASCAP: “DONK,” co-written by Pharrell and The-Dream; and “Cherry,” written by Timberlake, Timbaland and Jerome Harmon.
After holding off on the rumors for a couple days, it seems things could actually be getting closer to being confirmed, as today saw early pre-orders for a 4-disc version of BEYONCE added to Amazon stores in various countries including the UK.
We can still only speculate on the potential release, but with the pre-orders going live today, it definitely appears a major release is making its way to the BeyHive very soon. Check out the image below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
