Tinashe
While this year has seen its share of artists come and go, one that has proven that she’s here to stay is Cali songstress, Tinashe. While the singer may only be 21-years-old, the beautiful girl next door has already proven that her writing and production ability can outshine those twice her senior.
Delivering her critically acclaimed debut album Aquarius this fall, Tinashe has caught the ears (and eyes) of many who slept on her over the past two years (i.e. In Case We Die, Reverie, and 2013’s Black Water). With room to grow over the years, Tinashe stands to be a major crossover act, with her aptitude to merge moody alternative vibes with the current mainstream sounds that has become so popular amongst new age R&B performers.
While her fun and catchy single “2 On” was enough for us to be thankful for this year, her incredibly impressive debut album and artistic growth this year alone, is what landed her a top spot on our list.
