Breezy is back, and his much anticipated sixth studio album X hit stores last week and debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Brown was battling the legendary Barbra Streisand for the top spot, but he ended up coming in second this week with 142,000 copies.

The RCA Records release easily takes the No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and actually pulls in a slightly higher number than his previous album Fortune, which debuted with 135,000 copies in 2012.

The LP has been led by the No. 1 single “Loyal” featuring Lil Wayne & Tyga, and buzzing “New Flame” featuring Usher & Rick Ross. Although it received mediocre reviews from many mainstream critics the album seems to have greatly impressed his core fans.

Chris is currently working on setting up a late fall / early winter tour with Trey Songz, that has many fans very excited.
