Alicia Keys continued her campaign to empower the world for better with a performance at the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday in Central Park. The 3rd annual concert event unites many of music’s biggest stars and world humanitarian leaders to spotlight efforts that could change millions of lives across the globe with a concentration on ending extreme poverty.
Celebrity activists like Adrian Grenier, Hugh Jackman and Jessica Alba, and world leaders like United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted and introduced the musical acts including Fun., JAY Z, Tiësto, No Doubt, Carrie Underwood, The Roots and A. Keys.
The multi Grammy winner performed her new single “We are Here” accompanied by Israeli and Palestinian musicians.
