Tank Talks New Album ‘Stronger,’ Managing his Female MC, TGT Fights & More

By

Tank The Breakfast Club

Tank released his brand new album Stronger last week, and he is continuing promo this week in NYC. Stopping by The Breakfast Club on Tuesday morning, the R&B General gave another entertaining and comical interview.

They opened the discussion talking about his 2013 turn-up song “Shots Fired” featuring Chris Brown, which is not on the new album, and according to Tank, his record label Atlantic Records did not want to support, even though it was ringing off in the clubs. They spent an extended portion of the chat talking and joking about TGT, and at one point while addressing if they ever got into fistfights, said Tyrese don’t want it with him. “He’s not gonna fight me, Tyrese can’t fight, Tyrese is an actor from Watts.” Shots Fired! But, it’s all just fun and games with the competitive friends.

Tank spoke about managing his female rapper Siya and her role on the new Oxygen reality show ‘Sisterhood of Hip Hop.’ He talked about his relationship with girlfriend Zena Foster, and shared his current views on marriage. He also spoke about his “Stronger U” workout campaign and spoke about his new album.
