Mariah Carey Receives American Hero Award at Fresh Air Fund Awards

“Honey” singer Mariah Carey just keeps the diva coming! With the release of her well anticipated album Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse releasing just last week, the mommy of two walked into this week with a fresh award to add to her glass case.

Receiving the American Hero award at the Annual Fresh Air Fund Gala, the veteran songstress strutted her stuff in a gorgeous floor length gown. Nabbing the award for her continued activity to benefit the organization and celebrate her work as founder of Camp Mariah, the singer was completely on awe as she have her speech. Raising over $1.5 million for the fund it’s no wonder why they chose MC as the recipient.
