R&B legend Joe is one of the most consistent singers of the past 2 decades. After releasing his acclaimed 2013 album Doubleback: The Evolution of R&B only a year ago, the Grammy nominated artist is coming right back just as strong with his 11th studio album Bridges, due in stores June 23.

While he was hitting up NYC for some promo, our friends at YKIGS caught up with Joe and discussed what fans should expect on the album, his love for R&B, taking his sound back, success with the single “Love & Sex (Part 2)” with Kelly Rowland, the influence hip hop has had on his music, and more.

Additionally he revealed that he is already planning the follow-up LP, due in 12-18 months, which is tentatively titled ‘Date Night.’

Check out the interview above, and to get an advanced preview of his brand new album Bridges, take a listen to the full LP stream here.
