Yesterday, Janelle Monáe released the full version of her new song “What Is Love,” which is the official theme and lead single for the soundtrack to the upcoming animated movie RIO 2, in theaters April 11.
Now, the electric lady delivers the music video for the feel-good, groovy tune, as she hits up the studio with her band to perform the song for the characters of the film, who get down dancing all over the studio equipment.
In addition to lending her talents to the films soundtrack, Janelle joins a cast that includes fellow artists Bruno Mars, will.i.am and Jamie Foxx, playing a veterinarian in the 20th Century Fox production.
The RIO 2 soundtrack will be available in stores and online March 25. Watch the fun video below:
