The news just keeps getting better and better for Pharrell Williams who saw his sophomore album G I R L reach No. 1 in over 60 countries last week.  The critically acclaimed album, which has been lead by the massive success of his Oscar-nominated single “Happy,” was originally projected to shift around 85k-90k units.

Now, after an unexpected weekend sales boost at retail the set is said to be coming in over 100,000.

HitsDailyDouble has reported the jump in sales will easily put Pharrell over the 100k mark and put him in the running for the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The album has already debuted at No.1 in the UK with 70,000 copies sold.

Rick Ross also saw a sizable boost in sales for his album Mastermid over the weekend. He is expected to debut No. 1 with over 175,000 copies sold.
