It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. With all the holiday records dropping daily, the Christmas season sure seems like it’s here earlier than ever.
On Sunday night, some of R&B’s biggest stars helped kick off the holiday season at The Grove’s 11th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Spectacular presented By Citi in Los Angeles. The festive evening featured performances from Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, CeeLo Green, Jewel, Il Volo, and more.
After appearing on HSN earlier in the day, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul spread some cheer while singing songs off her holiday album A Mary Christmas.
Toni Braxton and Babyface teamed up for their sultry new duet on “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
CeeLo, who was better dressed for summer in a white tee and shorts, rocked around the 100-foot Christmas tree with seasonal tunes including “This Christmas.”
The evening capped off with a fireworks spectacular. The performances will air at a later date on a local L.A. station. Check out photos below:
