Chris Brown may have just caught another very big break. TMZ is reporting that a Secret Service agent was at the scene of Brown’s altercation in Washington, D.C. this past weekend and his revelation could potentially alter the case drastically in the R&B stars favor.

On Monday, Brown was charged with misdemeanor assault after allegedly punching a man in the nose outside the W Hotel in D.C.

But now a Secret Service agent has come forward with information that could change the case. According to TMZ, a witness to the fight told police that he heard the alleged victim tell a D.C. cop that Brown never hit him. This police officer later denied that he spoke with the witness in question. But the Secret Service agent contacted the D.C. police and told them he was present when the victim told the cop that Chris never hit him. The agent is adamant that he heard the victim’s admission to the cop.

Not only would it benefit Chris to have a Secret Service agent testify on his behalf, the testimony could also hurt the credibility of the alleged victim.

This would potentially force prosecutors to drop the misdemeanor assault case and save Chris from his probation revocation in the Rihanna case, for which he faces up to four years in prison.

Brown entered a Malibu rehab facility on Tuesday for anger management issues and is expected to be there for up to three months.
