New Music: Janelle Monáe feat. Miguel – Primetime

Janelle Monáe looks to electrify the airwaves with Miguel on their anticipated new collabo “Primetime,” off her forthcoming sophomore album The Electric Lady.

The soulful duet, which mesmerizes with sparse production and a strong vocal performance, follows her previously released singles “Q.U.E.E.N.” featuring Erykah Badu and “Dance Apocalyptic.”  The album also includes features from Solange, Esperanza Spalding and Prince!

In addition, Monáe has announced plans for her upcoming North American headline tour. The trek kicks off October 13 at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory and continues through late November (additional dates extending into 2014 will be announced soon).

The Electric Lady will hit stores September 10 via Wondaland/Bad Boy/Atlantic Records.
