It’s been a long and winding road for K. Michelle to the release of her debut album, but last week the diva saw her first commercial body of work ‘Rebellious Soul‘ land in stores.

With a strong and loyal fan base supporting, K delivered a very solid album and it paid off, making her Billboard 200 debut at No. 2.

According to Billboard the album shifted 71,000 copies in it’s first week. The project has been preceded by the single “V.S.O.P.” which has not performed extremely well at radio,  showing how this is a successful debut seeing as K is still a brand new artist to many.

The Memphis native recently revealed that she will be touring in support of the album for about a year, with 3 different tours. The first will be a solo headlining trek, which will then be followed by a joint tour with Keyshia Cole, and hopefully a short trip with R. Kelly.

K. Michelle is on the right path now, and hopefully the project stays on a consistent one as well.
