While on the red carpet at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, Miguel stopped for a quick chat with Billboard to discuss the latest in his continuously growing career. Prior to the R&B stars dangerous mishap during his performance he discussed the impact winning a Grammy has had on his career, and his next series of ‘Art Dealer Chic’ EP’s.
Miguel revealed the first EP is expected to be released in July, with the second in August and third in September. Each will also be paired with some apparel items that he has designed and created, also intended for summer/warm weather. “Art Dealer Chic is the way, rad times ahead,” winked the singer.
Before continuing down the carpet, he spoke briefly about working with Mariah Carey on their new single “#Beautiful,” and how the track came together. Revealing that he was unable to figure out how to complete the bare bones track, and it was serendipitous that she choose that record to work on, and they finished it together. Watch the clip below:
