Alicia Keys returned to US television with the debut live performance of her new single “Tears Always Win” on Thursday’s “American Idol.” While sitting behind the piano, Alicia belted out the Bruno Mars-penned song, which is the latest “pop” single off her album Girl on Fire, she is also promoting the steamy duet “Fire We Make” with Maxwell on urban radio.
Alicia admitted to being nervous before taking the stage. “Looking at the audience is giving me butterflyz!!!” she tweeted. “Feels like I’m trying out for the show too!!!” Watch her performance below:
