Usher Says New Album Will Be Like “Space & Sky”

Following his surprise performance in Austin at The Fader Fort for SXSW, Usher took a moment for a candid interview. The R&B superstar spoke about his first experience at the festival and how he ended up sharing the stage with The Afghan Whigs. He admitted they are one of his favorite indie bands, and loved working with them.

When Fader editor Matthew Schnipper asked Ush what was in his Shazam, although he claimed to not have it on him at the moment, he shared some interesting news about his next album. “What I have in my Shazam has become inspiration for my next album,” he said. “It’s gonna be freakin outta here…space and sky is what it’ll be, you look up and it’s everything you could imagine.”
