Emerging Artist: Andy Allo – “Yellow Gold”

Where my real music heads at? I recently discovered the amazing talents of rising singer/musician Andy Allo, and even though this song isn’t brand new, I can’t help but share it. Andy is a native of Cameroon, Africa, where she grew up surrounded by music and learned piano at a young age by her mother. Fast forward to adulthood the rising star landed a major break becoming a singer and guitarist in Prince’s band ‘The New Power Generation,’ touring and being mentored by the icon. Andy released her sophomore album Superconductor in late November of last year, and this cut “Yellow Gold” is an amazing piece of work. A pure feel-good, throwback, early ’80s funky tune and its full of Prince influence.
