Monica Begins Plans For Next Album

By

After lackluster sales, and quite frankly a disappointing album with New Life, Monica is already looking toward the future and her next album as she has begun the early planning. The R&B diva visited her label RCA earlier today, and seems to be excited for the new project as she shared what producers she plans to work with and a brief direction…

Taking to Twitter (where else), Monica tweeted, “Album7❤ @iamricolove ,Jim Jonson, stargate,Mike Will,Red Styles,Polow,Missy & Many More FRESH sound FRESH music.”

She posted a photo of herself with RCA Records CEO Peter Edge as well, writing, “The Amazing stance Ali has in the background says it ALL❤Me & Peter Edge❤Fresh Music, Feel, Producers & Sound.”

Do you think Monica should get back to work so fast or keep promoting New Life? What should she focus on for the new LP??

New Life was to heavy on those slow sounding ballards, and sadly most of the tracks just were not good enough, there were hardly any which were good enough to release as a single! Im a Monica fan from back in the 90s, so i wanted that album to be great but is was not even good! She needs to mix things up on her next album, some ballards, some slow jams, some uptempo beats, but make it good Monica pleeaaaasssse!

Are you smoking something @ Tee?! New Life was a good album…her vocals alone made the album. I’ll give you it was a tad slow, but “Man who has everything”, “it all belongs to me”, “daddys good girl”, “big mistake”, “catch me”, “Cry”, “Amazing”,’ anything to find you”. Not sure what you were listening to, but New Life was really good. Glad to see she’s not wasting anytime working on the next album. TeamMonica

Monica should have more fun on the next CD but still sing about Love.
