August Alsina delivers as promised with another brand new free project for your Labor Day holiday. The New Orleans bred crooner pays tribute to his hometown with the “Throwback” EP. Featuring artwork inspired by the city’s infamous rap labels No Limit and Cash Money, and the title track featuring rapper Juvenile.
The recent Def Jam records signee is not your typical R&B artist, far from being a one dimensional act singing emotional love songs or heartbreak ballads. In fact he will be the first to tell you love is not for him at this moment, which is most evident with his single “Sucka” featuring Lloyd. Where Alsina truly shines is through his undeniable authenticity, and raw storytelling.
