Brandy has finally ‘put it down’ with the official premiere of her music video for “Put It Down” featuring Chris Brown. The 33 year old takes it old school with her signature braids, gets intimate with her R&B co-star and shows off some sexy moves, backed by her girls, for the colorful Hype Williams directed visual.

Brandy’s highly awaited sixth studio album Two Eleven is due out October 2, featuring collaborations with Sean Garrett, Bangladesh, Rico Love, Frank Ocean, and more.

Alicia Keys Announces New Album Title – “Girl On Fire”

Alicia Keys has ignited a flame and is signaling a message for new beginnings and female empowerment. The R&B superstar has announced the official title of her anticipated fifth studio album … “Girl On Fire.”

Alicia took to her website to reveal the exciting news. “Girl on Fire is about new beginnings, new perspectives and fresh starts… stripping away all the bad energy in your life and taking full control of the reigns and how you want to live,” she said of the follow-up to 2009’s The Element of Freedom.

She will debut a new song off the album at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on September 6.

New Music: Ray Lavender – The R&B Hustler (Mixtape)

Ray Lavender is back and staking a claim with the newly arrived mixtape, “The RnB Hustler.”  The new DJ Sense hosted project includes 15 tracks with features from Rick Ross, Akon, & more! It also features Ray’s Summer singles “Tequila” and “We Love.”

The mixtape acts as the prequel to Lavender’s forthcoming self-titled EP, which is due out August 21.

August Alsina Officially Signs to Def Jam Records

ThisisRnB ‘Emerging Artist,’ August Alsina is making major moves. The 19-year old R&B crooner has officially signed a record deal with Def Jam.

“It’s Official!! Glad to be apart of the family #DefJam,” he tweeted.

We first introduced you to the New Orleans native with his acoustic covers project “Untitled,” followed by this years breakout mixtape “The Product.”

August recently released the single “Sucka,” featuring his R&B brotha Lloyd, and the official video. He is busy working on tracks for his debut, more music videos and features. Keep your on the budding star and stay tuned for more soon!
