New Music: Jordin Sparks – Love Will

Jordin Sparks wants to share the power of love on “Love Will,” one of her brand new songs off the soundtrack to the 1976 remake of Sparkle, in which she stars, alongside Whitney Houston and Cee-Lo.

Stream the soulful song below, the official Sparkle soundtrack will hit stores July 31, while the movie will be in theaters August 17.


New Music: Goapele – Running

Cee-Lo isn’t the only Soul hero to deliver new music for the soundtrack of Sparkle. The lovely and talented Goapele has a new song titled “Running,” off the project. Following the theme of the original 1976 film, and earlier Motown days, Goapele brings a fun, playful, upbeat tune, which is surely to have you up out of seat, ‘running’ to the dance floor.


New Music: Cee-Lo Green – I’m A Man

Cee-Lo Green has lent his undeniably original talents to the soundtrack of the remake to the 1976 film Sparkle, which co-stars Cee-Lo along with the late Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks, and his brand new song “I’m A Man” is now here for your listening pleasure. A classic, upbeat and funky sound, what more would we expect from the crazy singer himself.

New Music: Mateo feat. Stacy Barthe – Looking You Up

Following “Carry On,” and 1 week away from the release of his new mixtape, Mateo leaks “Looking You Up,” a collaboration with Stacy Barthe. The second release off “Suite 823,” available August 1, produced by Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and Zeke MacUmber, finds the singer-songwriter reminiscing about a love lost, and his plans to get it back.

Alicia Keys Talks “New Day” and Instagram Call To Action

Following the release of her comeback single “New Day,” Alicia Keys has posted a new visual sharing her personal thoughts and feelings about the song, as well as announcing a call to action for all the fans out there using instagram. Alicia is asking everyone to take photos of anything and everything that inspire them, and represent that “new day” lifestyle. The R&B songstress is asking you to post all the photos with the hash-tag #aknewday, and she will be collecting all of the best pics and making a music video using them.


Video: Deon Young – Drank In My Cup (Remake)

Young up and comer Deon Young follows up “Blackin’ Out,” with a video for his own rendition of Kirko Bangz “Drank In My Cup.” The 19-year old, NYC native, who is the first act signed to Sylvia Rhone’s new imprint through Epic Records, is prepping the release of his brand new mixtape “Forever Young,” for later this Summer.


Trey Songz Reveals “Chapter V” Features & Final Tracklisting

Trey Songz had originally stated his forthcoming album, Chapter V, would boast a long list of features, primarily from Hip-Hop’s most preeminent MC’s. After debuting an early version of the tracklisting on iTunes, the R&B heartthrob made his final decision, and revealed the features and final tracklisting via Amazon. The 18 tracks include appearances from Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy (“Hail Mary”), Rick Ross (“Don’t Be Scared”), Meek Mill and Diddy (“Check Me Out”), and T.I. (“2 Reasons”). Toni Braxton Shines In New Children’s Musical “Oogieloves”

Toni Braxton is back in front of the camera lens, but this time for a much better cause, and project. The ’90s R&B singer stars in a forthcoming interactive musical film for children titled “The Oogieloves in The Big Balloon Adventure.”

Speaking of the interactive movie, Braxton says her character takes pieces of how real divas act — in a good way.

“My character is absolutely wonderful. She is all of the singers in the business. From myself to Gladys Knight to Mariah and J. Lo… little parodies on how us divas act,” says Braxton.
