Ok, with the start of this new series how could we not kick it off with this. “Slow Jam of the Day” is just that, each day we will try and post 1 classic or sultry love song at nighttime.
The Isley Brothers classic 1983 hit “Between The Sheets” went to number three on the Billboard R&B chart while it peaked at number one on Billboard’s Bubbling Under chart. The song’s success helped the Isley’s album of the same name go platinum, the brothers’ first platinum album since 1978′s Showdown.
It’s been 6 months since Beyonce gave birth to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and since that time the singer and husband Jay-Z have only given the public a glimpse of their baby girls face one time through a series of pics posted to a Tumblr page. Since then, the baby has been shielded from the public eye during every outing.
Well, today, a photo surfaced of Beyonce holding Blue while out shopping in Bergdorf Goodman’s in NYC. The cute lil chubster is showing features from both her superstar parents and in addition Bey was rocking her new blonde braids.

Brandy took it all the way back when she paid a visit to Dallas, TX radio station K104 and caught up with DJ Hollywood Bay Bay. It is hard to believe that it’s been 18 years since Brandy released her debut single “I Wanna Be Down” in 1994, and the subsequent remix featuring MC Lyte, Yo Yo and Queen Latifah. In this clip from her visit Bay Bay got B to teach him the moves from the “I Wanna Be Down” video, which is a hilarious and entertaining watch. Brandy looks good as hell still as well…

The final numbers are in and Frank Ocean has made a major impact on the Billboard charts with his Def Jam debut channel ORANGE. The set sold 131,000 in its first week, primarily direct from iTunes. However, according to Billboard about 3,000 of that sum were physical CDs.
