Emerging Artist: Danny McClain – All The Things (Your Man Won’t Do) (Cover)

This is what we’re talking about! Right here! Please press play on the above video and take a listen to Danny McClain. An artist who has already been working in the industry for some time and has collaborated with greats like Earth Wind and Fire, and even Steven Tyler, but is ready to re-introduce himself. He is clearly an emerging artist with covers like this! The R&B crooner was born in Brooklyn, but bred in Boston, and also goes by the nickname “SkyHigh.”

Danny brings you a cover of Joe’s classic hit “All The Things (Your Man Won’t Do),” speaking on the video he said, “I’ve loved this song for some time and wanted to do a video cover of a song to put on youtube. So I decided this would be the kickoff in re-introducing myself through songs from artist that I grew to admire from a young age till present.”

New Music: Frank Ocean – Sweet Life

Frank Ocean has just unveiled “Sweet Life,” a brand new song off his debut album Channel Orange, due July 17. “The best song wasn’t the single, but you weren’t either,” sings Francis on the opening line. Backed on production by Pharrell, this is as smooth and incredibly written as any of his best work, maybe better, it sure is a sweet listen.

Video: Deon Young – Blackin Out

Deon Young storms the streets of NYC in the “Blackin’ Out” music video. The 19 year old Harlem rapper turned singer-songwriter is the latest signee to Sylvia Rhone’s joint venture label with Epic Records. Hip Hop Weekly dubbed Deon Young as a ‘Next 2 Blow’ artist, Nike featured him in an ad campaign and he’s currently one of Dr. Jay’s ‘Summer Sensations’ of 2012. Watch as Deon puts his spin on one of the hottest tracks right now “Cashin’ Out” by Ca$h Out!

Christina Milian Talks Deal with Young Money/Cash Money & New Album

Jenny Boom Boom back with another new interview from the BET Awards weekend. The Hot 93.7 host caught with Christina Milian, who spoke about her role on NBC’s ‘The Voice,’ and more importantly her new deal with Young Money Cash Money, how she got the deal, her new music and forthcoming album. She claims she will definitely have a song with Lil Wayne coming, and hopefully more of the family like Nicki, Drake and Tyga. Christina is hoping for an early 2013 release for the album, with the first single coming as early as August/September.


Behind The Scenes: Timbaland & Ne-Yo “Hands In The Air” Video Shoot

Timbaland throws a dance party in the music video for “Hands In The Air” featuring Ne-Yo. The club single off the soundtrack to Step Up Revolution. The Grammy winning producer praised his collaborator, “This is one of the great ones, we don’t have a a lot of great ones in the world, he’s one of them.” Later he confessed, “This is just the stepping stone of what we can do, we all gotta start somewhere, but I’ll tell you what…I’m more excited about the future with me and Ne-Yo.”

New Music: Jeremih feat. Marcus Fench – Keep It Moving

Jeremih is already back with a new song, following his big collabo with R. Kelly, “Misunderstood.” The Chicago native takes a chill and subtle approach with “Keep It Moving,” the latest release off his upcoming mixtape “Late Nights.” Not even haters, girl problems, and a ticket can stop the R&B crooner from getting his. “It’s my time, I don’t need it,” he sings over the laid-back cut, which features a verse from Marcus Fench, who co-wrote “Birthday Sex” and “Down on Me.”

Jermaine Dupri Hosts Austin Brown Album Listening Party

We’ve been telling you about Austin Brown for some time now, and the rising star is surely on his way, as Jermaine Dupri hosted Brown’s official album listening party in the Hollywood Hills at the El Cartel Tequila mansion, during the BET Awards weekend. Rap-Up TV was in the building and according to them, the nephew of the late King of Pop previewed music from his upcoming debut Highway 85 including his single “Menage a Trois” as celebrities such as Melody Thornton, Too $hort, and Evan Ross stopped by the poolside party.

“He has a fresh new look to this music scene and I think that’s what we need out here,” explained JD

Brown has worked with Rodney Jerkins, Q-Tip, Ryan Tedder, and Pharrell on his album, and maintains a close relationship with his aunt Janet Jackson, who he calls his best friend. “She’s the one who gives me the most advice,” he said of the pop icon.

Trey Songz is simply on that grind! The R&B star has released another new single, following his extremely seductive “Dive In,” this time Trigga is head over heels for his women, who he describes as a work of art on “Simply Amazing.”
