Behind The Scenes: Usher & Justin Bieber’s ‘Billboard’ Cover Shoot

Billboard takes you behind-the-scenes of the photoshoot for their latest issue, featuring Usher and Justin Bieber. The young star and his mentor stand side by side, and pose by Justin’s crazy, chromed-out Fisker sports car. Usher speaks about his flourishing artist and how far he has grown and will continue to improve.

“As I said in the beginning of his career, and as I still feel now, ya know the story has yet to unfold, it is a story that is his own, and as he finds his voice, ya know I think people will continue to see what it is that myself and Scooter Braun saw in him as a young child.”

Both Usher and Justin are releasing new albums this June, with the R&B superstar’s Looking 4 Myself coming June 12, and Bieb’s much-anticipated sophomore set Believe hitting stores the week after, on June 19.

Ashanti Gets Interviewed By Her Mom For Mother’s Day

Ashanti sat down with her mother/manager Tina Douglas for an interview with AOL Music in honor of Mother’s Day. But this time, it was Tina asking the questions. She quizzed Ashanti on the best advice she’s given and asked her to describe the women in her family. Even sister Shia joined in the fun.

“You always taught me to be a leader, not a follower,” said Ashanti, whose album BraveHeart is due in June. “As simple as it is, it has always stuck with me and I’m very grateful for that advice.”

Robin Thicke Performs “Lost Without You” at VH1 ‘Save The Music’

Earlier this month we showed you footage of Robin Thicke performing a sultry cover of “Sexual Healing” at VH1 ‘Save The Music’ Foundation’s 2012 Songwriters Music Series at the Paris Club in Chicago. Today, the folks over at GoWhereHipHop released this clip of the soulful crooner heating up the stage with his hit song “Lost Without You.”

Bertell & Dondria Discuss The Current State of R&B

Taking a break from their video shoot for “Ready,” the collaboration between Texas R&B artists Bertell and Dondria, the two discuss the current state of R&B, and give their opinion on R&B artists who rap.

Bertell, who was discovered by Bryan-Michael Cox, is currently working on his debut album. Dondria, the princess of So So Def, is currently working on her forthcoming sophomore album.

Usher Appears In ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promo

Usher plays it straight next to Will Ferrell in the promo for this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live.” The R&B superstar will return to the late-night show for the third time as the musical guest, his first appearance since October 2010.
