UK’s soulful songstress Emeli Sande rocked ‘The Voice’ UK Sunday night, and delivered another stirring performance of latest single “My Kind of Love.”
The emotional ballad is the fourth cut to be lifted from the Scottish star’s critically acclaimed debut album Our Version of Events. The album has sold Platinum in the UK, and is scheduled to be released in the US on June 5.

Mary J. Blige will once again grace the cover of ESSENCE magazine, for the June 2012 issue… However, that is not all…the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul was granted the special title of “guest editor” for this edition, which will be her 12th! time covering the magazine.
The multi-Grammy winner dishes on many topics, including style, spirit and success. Take a look behind-the-scenes of her photoshoot with Matthew Rolstone, and brief interview with editor Emil Wilbiken. Mary speaks about the importance of ESSENCE, and also discusses her role in the upcoming movie Rock of Ages, co-starring Tom Cruise.
Mary J. Blige showed her stars and stripes on Saturday, performing the National Anthem at the 138th Kentucky Derby. Looking like a Southern belle in a red dress with matching hat and gloves, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul put on a royal performance, winning praise from the 150,000 spectators.
Meanwhile, Marsha Ambrosius had the honor of singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Mayweather vs. Cotto fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas later in the day. The British songstress got in the ring and flexed her vocal chops while delivering the patriotic anthem, later tweeting, “I do it! Living my dreams!!!”

Rihanna returned to ‘Saturday Night Live’ this weekend with special guest host, Giants quarterback Eli Manning. The Pop superstar threw together a medley of her singles, “Birthday Cake” and “Talk That Talk” for the first appearance. She followed that up, changing the stage into a middle eastern theme, for her latest dance track “Where Have You Been.”
