Lamar Starzz Presents: R&B 24/7 (Episode 3)

A little over a week ago we introduced you to Lamar Starzz with his brand new song “Don’t Worry.” The up and coming R&B singer-songwriter and his management team D2 Music (Trey Songz, K. Michelle) are thinking outside of the box for ways to introduce Lamar and bring new fans into his emerging world. They have created an online reality series called “R&B 24/7″ which follows Starzz around during his daily life, recording and dealing with the struggles of trying to make it in the music business.

This is the latest episode, in which Lamar takes time out to play basketball with the studio crew to show his b-ball skills. Lamar is taken back by Brian McKnight’s over explicit youtube song “If Your Ready To Learn.” Lamar also is bothered by the lack of involvement of his label head and decides to get management to bring all the issues to the table.

Video: Akon feat. French Montana – Hurt Somebody

Akon puts up a fight in the gritty video for “Hurt Somebody,” the Jerry Wonda produced street single off his oft-delayed album Stadium, due September 11. To vent his frustrations, Akon enters a boxing match and leaves victorious. He explained the message he was trying to convey during an interview on “106 & Park.”

“It’s really to promote non-gun violence. If you got a problem with somebody, ya’ll should just take it in the ring,” said Akon, who gained weight for the role. “We men, let’s handle it. If we can’t talk about it, then let’s fight about it.”

The video also stars Bad Boy rapper French Montana, who was previously signed to Akon’s Konvict Muzik label. “At the time where I had him, I was just too focused on the pop stuff,” admitted his former boss, who helped discover Lady Gaga.
