NEW MUSIC: CEE-LO GREEN – ALL ALONE NOW (WHITNEY HOUSTON DEMO)

Take a listen to this unreleased song by Cee-Lo Green, which was recorded for Whitney Houston. Read what the producer Waajeed had to say below…

Never heard before Cee Lo X Waajeed collaboration. It was wriiten and demoed for the late, great Whitney Houston circa 2007. The A&Rs at RCA were calling every and anybody to find a sound for her 2009 release, I Look To You. I worked on seven or eight different versions finally deciding on this one with additional parts from Simon Katz from Jamiroquai.

Lyrically, Cee Lo nailed it! At the time she was going though her very public separation with Bobby Brown. He wrote the words as if she was speaking directly to him.

I wish I would’ve been able to hear her wonderful voice singing these words, but for now Cee-Lo will do.

R.I.P. Whitney

Enjoy!

VIDEO: ROBIN THICKE FEAT. LIL’ WAYNE – PRETTY LIL’ HEART

Robin Thicke channels James Dean in the anticipated video for his latest single “Pretty Lil’ Heart” featuring Lil Wayne, off his new album Love After War. The cinematic visual, directed by Marc Klasfeld, was filmed at a famous motel in the desert.

“I just wanted to do something that brewed temptation and sensuality and sexuality, and left the audience wondering what happens next,” explained Thicke.

“Something that I feel sometimes, even though I want to be noticed and want to be appreciated, I still feel so small in this enormous universe, that I’m still just a monkey playing the cymbal,” stated Thicke as he spoke about remaking the classic scene in James Dean’s Rebel Without A Cause. “I really wanted to embody a little bit of that old cinematic charm, the golden age of Hollywood, and try to capture a little bit of that and put it into some soul music.”
