PREVIEW: MARY J. BLIGE VISITS THE WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW

Mary J. Blige stopped by The Wendy Williams show for the first time ever. MJB is one of Wendy’s all-time favorites and a dream guest, so you know she made it a special show. Wendy isn’t one to bite her tongue though, the frank host delved into some very personal questions with Mary, including trouble in her marriage, struggling with drug use, motherhood, her recent Oscar snub and much more. ASHANTI TALKS NEW MUSIC, RECORD LABEL & CAREER

R&B princess Ashanti is ready for her return to music stardom, including the launch her own label, Written Entertainment. In this recent interview with “Access Hollywood Live,” the 31-year-old singer spoke about moving on from her past deals and taking her career into her own hands.

The burgeoning businesswoman learned some valuable lessons along the way. “Being with the major [label] taught me that I need a way bigger percentage than what they were giving me,” joked Ashanti. “It’s about the profit sharing now and everything is digital and I’m cutting my own deal with iTunes. It’s about learning the behind the scenes to become a better business woman.”

Ashanti’s fifth album is due this summer on Written Entertainment/eOne. The first single, “The Woman You Love” featuring Busta Rhymes, is available right now on iTunes and Amazon digital.


NEW MUSIC: TWANEE – COLD AS ICE

Up and coming singer/songwriter Ms. Twanée is preparing for a very big 2012, including the release of her debut album. This Bermuda bred songstress is not wasting anytime introducing listeners to her sound. Twanée just released her first buzz song “Lesson Learned” last week, and is now already back with a second track. The new release titled “Cold As Ice” follows up where she left off with “Lesson Learned.” Take a listen below…

VIDEO: BEI MAEJOR – THE TRUTH

What new artist is working as hard as Bei Maejor right now! The buzzing singer/rapper/producer has just released another brand new video. This tune entitled “The Truth,” visualizes the story of a unfaithful female, who is playing the field with Bei and his best friend, and what’s worse… there is a child involved, who may actually be Bei’s.

“The boy that you think is yours may not be your son,” he sings. The song, which Bei first released this past December, is expected to appear on his anticipated “Upscale EP,” coming next month.

This song and video are crazy…chills.


TWEET SIGNS TO DUBOSE MUSIC GROUP, WORKING ON NEW ALBUM

As R&B continues to resurface this year it has been confirmed via Twitter that singer/songwriter Tweet has signed with DuBose Music Group, and is currently in the studio working on a brand new album.

Tweet definitely is a void in today’s music industry. Her unique sound, lyricism, and emotion is why we love her. Her debut album Southern Hummingbird, which was released in 2002, is still in heavy rotation, and a favorite of many to this day!

6x GRAMMY NOMINEE ADELE TO PERFORM AT 54th GRAMMY AWARDS

Just when you thought this years Grammy Awards were going to be a snooze-fest, Columbia Records confirms that Adele will be making her return to the stage on Feb. 12 at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles! The soulful songstress will return to the stage for the first time since undergoing vocal cord surgery last fall. Adele is nominated for 6 Grammys, and rightfully so she deserves them all and a free buffet. Go Adele!


D’ANGELO PERFORMS “UNTITLED (HOW DOES IT FEEL)” LIVE IN PARIS

D’Angelo has officially returned! The soul crooner takes us all back with this rare performance of his fan favorite “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” in this footage from the singers recent show in Paris, France. Now, who’s ready for that new album??
