R. Kelly made his first return to the stage, after recovering from throat surgery, for a special guest performance on Wednesday night’s episode of The X Factor US. The R&B legend delivered his first ever duet rendition of “I Believe I Can Fly” with top 3 finalist Melanie Amaro. Kellz vocals sound just as incredible as normal. Check it out!

NEW MUSIC: MARQUES TOLIVER – STUDYING FOR MY PH.D (MIXTAPE)
The uber talented Marques Toliver has released an official mixtape for his worldwide growing fan base. If you are unfamiliar, Marques is a Brooklyn bred, London based singer/violinist (See this Visual). Such a talent can surely not follow the commercial mixtape norms. In fact, Marques delivers quite the abstract piece with “Studying For My Ph.D.” See what The Guardian UK had to say as they premiered the project…
Over 14 tracks Toliver weaves delicate harmonies and softly plucked violin around interview snippets, including a defiant Eartha Kitt and an impassioned Darcus Howe. In fact, there are references to his current British home, with Travelers featuring a news report on the Dale Farm eviction. There’s an underlying sense of confusion throughout and this is most apparent in the aptly titled Chaos, which layers Roberta Flack’s I Am the Girl over samples of Beyoncé’s Baby Boy and a choir. For his mixtape, Marques Toliver has decided to reveal his inspirations rather than offer too much of himself via new songs, using the format to create something abstract yet compelling.

R. KELLY – “I’VE WRITTEN 32 NEW CHAPTERS OF ‘TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET’”
According to TMZ…
R. Kelly needs funding — AND QUICK — because the singer tells TMZ he’s ready to film THIRTY TWO new chapters of his legendary hip-hopera “Trapped in the Closet” … but he needs financial backing first.
When we last saw “Trapped” … the year was 2007 and Kelly had released 22 chapters, involving a little person who crapped his pants … a neighbor with the spatula … and a pimp with the stuttering problem.
Now, Kelly — who was leaving an L.A. gym yesterday — tells us he wants to continue the saga — “but it costs a lot of money to do … so we’re actually looking for investors.”
Wooord? Crazy! “Trapped..” was some of the most inventive writing in modern R&B. The anticipation begins… In the mean-time revisit the series with “Chapter 1″ below.
TIMBALAND TELLS ALL ON E!’S ‘TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORY’
“I’m not covering up sh*t. The truth shall set me free,” said Timbaland, who bared all during his E! “True Hollywood Story.”
Timbaland has to be one of my favorite all-time super-producers. Watch as he took viewers on his path to becoming one of music’s most influential figures and revealed some secrets including the time he contemplated suicide after his drastic weight gain and his love for Aaliyah. It’s a bit long, so don’t put this on unless you’re at lunch. It includes cameos from Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliott, Pharrell, Keri Hilson, and his wife and parents.
