NEW MUSIC: JOHN WEST FEAT. BIG SEAN – ALREADY THERE

Soulman John West returns with some more great tuneage for our ears. The Louisiana native teams up with Big Sean on his newest single “Already There.” The radio-ready, feel-good song, driven by catchy keys and heavy drums, lead John as he sings, “I ain’t got a dollar, but I’m feeling like a millionaire.”

The Brian Kennedy-produced track lifted off of West’s upcoming debut album via Mercury/Island Def Jam, and the video has already been shot for the single. Listen to the new joint now, and find out how the collaboration came about after the jump.

CARL THOMAS GIVES AWAY UNRELEASED MUSIC

In anticipation for the release of his comeback album, Conquer, Carl Thomas has reached into his vault and sprung a leak. The soulful R&B singer has offered fans the chance to hear some unreleased music, and win some prizes via his Facebook page.

VIDEO: MATEO – SAY IT’S SO

Mateo is on a quest for love in the anticipated video for “Say It’s So,” his latest single featuring Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz. The singer/songwriter passes by a mystery woman on the Brooklyn Bridge and stares out from a window overlooking the NYC skyline. Will he find what he’s looking for? Mateo’s EP ‘Love and Stadiums II’ will be released to iTunes on December 6 via Kerry “Krucial” Brothers’ label Krucial Noise.

BEHIND THE SCENES: MARIO IN THE STUDIO, ANNOUNCES ALBUM TITLE

Mario is planning a new webisode video series titled Mario Mondays, in which the R&B vocalist will release a new video clip each week, mostly behind the scenes footage in the studio, touring and more. Check out the first video which finds Mario in the studio with Yesi Ortiz and Eric Bellinger working on new music. At the end of the clip Mario announces the title for his forthcoming album will be “Restoration.”

MONICA HONORED AT ASCAP ‘WOMEN BEHIND THE MUSIC’ EVENT

ASCAP Rhythm & Soul celebrated the achievements of Monica at its 3rd Annual Women Behind the Music Series in New York City on Wednesday night. The industry event honors women in music including artists, songwriters, managers, attorneys, label executives, and music publishers. In addition to the R&B songstress, music industry executives Phillana Williams and Mona Scott-Young were recognized.

“Still overwhelmed by tonight, I’m blessed beyond measure to experience the things I have in work & life itself,” tweeted a grateful Monica, who is readying her album New Life for an early 2012 release.

Other attendees included Ne-Yo and Roc Nation signee Bridget Kelly.

T-PAIN UNVEILS ‘EVOLVER’ TRACKLISTING

After some serious delays T-Pain unveils the star-studded tracklisting for his fourth album rEVOLVEr, available December 6. The follow-up to his 2008 platinum-plus-selling album Thr33 Ringz is loaded with guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Wiz Khalifa, R. Kelly, Bei Maejor, E-40, and two songs with Chris Brown.

“rEVOLVEr is drawn from seven albums’ worth of material,” explained T-Pain. “There are so many different things on this album. I couldn’t settle on what I wanted to include, but the final result I think will really hit all of my fans and different audiences.”
