Boyz II Men’s Nathan Morris says that Justin Bieber’s forthcoming Christmas album presented the perfect opportunity for the group to collaborate with the teen star.
“We always were thinking about trying to do something together, but we wanted to do something different, where it’s not just us on his album,” says Morris. “We are two different genres and age groups, so you gotta do something that makes sense, and the Christmas album just made sense.”
Ashanti returns from her musical hiatus with “Never Too Far Away,” a song off the soundtrack to the upcoming thriller Dream House starring Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts. The R&B songbird, who is prepping a new album, sings about going to the edge of the Earth for her lover on the tender piano ballad. “And I would let nothing keep me away/ And I would let nothing keep me from you, babe,” she coos.
Trey Songz makes his return with a sample of 2 songs entitled “Whoever Else” & “If I Could.” The half rap/half sung track finds his alter-ego Trigga opening with a cocky, aggressive rap, before switching lanes on the mellow, but uplifting second half.
The tracks will appear on his upcoming hip-hop and R&B mixtapes “#Lemmeholdatbeat2″ and “Anticipation II,” both dropping November 1.

Yes! R. Kelly paid a visit on 107.5 WGCI’s The Morning Riot show in Chicago earlier today. In his first interview after his throat surgery, he talked about traveling to Africa, his personal favorite song, and more importantly he revealed the official news about his upcoming 12th studio album, which he has titled Black Panties. He also revealed the title of the first single “10 Minutes” which should be debuting soon.
