BET TO AIR AALIYAH ‘ONE IN A MILLION’ TRIBUTE SHOW

With the 10th anniversary of Aaliyah’s untimely passing approaching, BET is set to honor the lost R&B star with a tribute special commemorating her life. The show, entitled ‘Aaliyah: One In a Million,’ will feature commentary from Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Patti Labelle, Kelly Rowland, and more.

Fans can tune into BET on Thursday, August 25 at 8pm est to catch the special. Until then, BET is already underway with a 25 day celebration (starting August 1st) celebrating the accomplishments of the late great Aaliyah.


BEYONCE SELLS OUT 4 INTIMATE NIGHTS IN 22 SECONDS

Beyonce is all smiles tonight as she sold out her “4 Intimate Nights With Beyonce,” a series of four intimate performances at NYC’s Roseland Ballroom. Tickets went on sale today with the first show on August 14 selling out in a remarkable 22 seconds (I’ve had day dreams that lasted longer than that!). Then August 16th, 18th, and 19th all sold out shortly after.

Beyoncé will perform her new album 4 in its entirety at these special concerts.


NEW MUSIC: BRITNEY SPEARS FEAT. R. KELLY – TILL THE WORLD ENDS (REMIX) (NO TAGS)

R. Kelly may be recovering from his recent emergency throat surgery, but the R&B legend can still keep fans on the dance floor. This remix first hit the net about a month ago with tags. It hasn’t been confirmed if this was intended for radio, as an official remix. But, here is the untagged version for your listening pleasure.

NEW MUSIC: CARL THOMAS – ROUND 2

Grammy Nominated R&B singer Carl Thomas is plotting the release of his fourth studio album, Conquer, on October 4th. The platinum selling crooner, best known for his hits “I Wish,” “Emotional” and “Summer Rain” last released an album (So Much Better) in 2007. Here is the first release from his forthcoming Verve/UMG album, titled “Round 2.” The piano driven track finds Carl flexing his soothing vocal as he pleads to keep the moment going with a second round of love making. BEHIND THE SCENES OF JOE’S “LOSING” VIDEO SHOOT

Yesterday, we brought you a new record by Joe titled “Dear Joe.” In a mixup, his PR firm stated it was his new single, but that is incorrect. The official lead single from Joe’s anticipated new album The Good, The Bad, The Sexy is a record titled “Losing.” KarmaloopTV went behind-the-scenes of the video shoot with director Aristotle. ESTELLE ON ‘TALKING TO STRANGERS’ WITH CEE-LO (PREVIEW)

Estelle is the latest artist to visit Cee-Lo Green’s TV show “Talking To Strangers” on Fuse. In a preview from their chat, Mr. Green asks Estelle what her perfect ‘American Boy’ would be. Tune in tonight at 11pm est for the full show. Estelle will be performing her new single “Break My Heart” as well as the classic, “American Boy.”


CHRIS BROWN ANNOUNCES FALL TOUR DATES

Chris Brown is prepping to hit the road this Fall following the success of his latest No. 1 album F.A.M.E.. The R&B star will be playing major venues across North America. The 28-date tour kicks off September 12 at Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre and makes stops at Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum, Washington, D.C.’s Verizon Center, and L.A.’s Staples Center, wrapping October 30 in Hartford, Conn.

With opening act Kelly Rowland this definitely sounds like a monumental event. Tickets will be available for pre-sale starting August 12 at 10 a.m. local time. Tour dates after the break.
