VIDEO: CEE-LO GREEN – THANK YOU (TRIBUTE SONG)

As we previously reported Cee-Lo Green has revamped his massive hit “F**k You” into a positive tribute remix — “Thank You”. Dedicated to the brave men and women volunteer firefighters. Green joined Duracell and the National Volunteer Fire Council for the “Power Those Who Protect Us” program to help support and raise awareness for volunteer firefighters across the U.S.

The Lady Killer’s connection to the campaign is personal. His mother served as a volunteer firefighter and when he was 16 years old, a group of local volunteer firefighters pulled her to safety following a near-fatal car accident.

Cee-Lo explained why he decided to get involved. “As entertainers in the public light, we have a unique opportunity to raise awareness for causes close to our hearts through our greatest passion: music,” he stated. “That’s why I am proud to join the ‘Power Those Who Protect Us’ cause, to tell my own story and shed light on the tireless sacrifices our nation’s volunteers make each and every day to protect their communities.”

NEW MUSIC: JORDIN SPARKS – I AM WOMAN

Jordin Sparks has been away from the limelight for a moment, but the singer is back with a brand new single, and a fit figure. The uptempo female anthem titled “I Am Woman” is the lead single from her forthcoming untitled third album. Jordin spoke to AOL about the record saying,

“I Am Woman” is a song about different aspects of the lives of women. It could be a mother, a performer, a woman working in a corporate space — its all about what we go through as women and how our lives are so crazy. Walk a mile in my shoes, or in my stilettos, if you dare and see what happens. It’s all about the strengths that a woman has — how we can multi-task and carry so much, yet still always be on point when we need to be and on cue when we need to be. It’s all about the amazing-ness of a woman.”

The song will be available on Amazon digital May 10th, check it out below. Thoughts?
