As promised, here is the anticipated new Mixtape from Jive Records K. Michelle “What’s The 901?”. The Memphis, TN singer/songwriters promo offering looks like it was inspired by MJB’s classic album “What’s The 411″. It features 18 original tracks, including guest features from Rick Ross, Missy Elliot, Gucci Mane, Trina, the much anticipated “Echo (Remix)” with R. Kelly and more. Here is the final, official version to Brutha’s brand new single “Can’t Get Enough (Sexaholic)”. The Eric Hudson produced ode to sex addiction is now featuring Jadakiss. The video will be dropping soon. This is a good look for the brothers. They deserve some more attention. Their sophomore album Vacancy is coming soon. Check it out!

Billboard Q&A with Janelle Monae

In Friday’s Daily Noise, Bill Werde chats with rising star Janelle Monae, who has just released “The Archandroid,” which includes the second and third parts of her four-suite concept album series. Monae talks about the inspiration for her unique personal style, the futuristic concepts behind “Archandroid” and her previous album “Metropolis,” and the importance of both recording and live performance. She also talks about her Wondaland Arts Society label, which will release an album by “The Archandroid” collaborators Deep Cotton.
