Mariah Carey In Studio w/ Randy Jackson, Jermaine Dupri & B. Cox

Last night Mariah, along with Randy Jackson, Jermaine Dupri & B. Cox took to uStream live from the studio. We have already heard from JD that they are officially back working on a new album for Mariah. She announced that the record they just did, she doesn’t want to go into yet, but “it’s going to make you happy”. Shout to Toya. In related news JD spoke briefly with Rap-Up saying, “we started last week and we don’t take long when we get in, so hopefully a single before the end of the year.” Well, if Randy and JD are involved we should expect quality Mariah music again. What do you think?

Weekly Throwback: Keith Sweat – I Want Her

For our second installment of the Weekly Throwback we wanted to pay tribute to Keith Sweat. He has a new album titled, Ridin’ Solo slated to drop this June, and it’s great to see he is still working after 20+ years in the business. Keith’s debut album, Make It Last Forever was a international smash, and one of the most successful “New Jack Swing” styled albums. It spawned a few hit singles, but the first and most successful was the Teddy Riley produced “I Want Her”. It reached #1 on Billboard’s R&B Chart, and #5 on the Hot 100 chart.

Video: Marques Houton – Tonight

Here is a brand new video from Marques Houston for his record “Tonight”. Now, this record first leaked back in ’08. It seems Yahoo Music just posted the video recently, which everyone else grabbed up, but they also posted his video for “Sunset,” which hit the net last year. Now, the record didn’t make Marques last album Mr. Houston, so maybe it will be off his upcoming album, and that’s why they just officially dropped the video. Either way, the video was definitely shot last year, and he definitely jacked Ne-Yo’s swag.
