There’s so many people I’d like to work with still, but I’d like to maybe go outside of the box. My sister [Solange] has put me on to bands like [indie group] Of Montreal and some other different types of artists. I would love to do something like that on my next album.

Mariah Carey ‘Memoirs’ Remix Album Due Out In February

Fans of Mariah Carey’s latest album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel will be able to fall in love with it all over again when a remixed edition of the project is released next year.

Carey’s manager Chris Lighty revealed the release month via Twitter on Saturday, according to Mariah Daily. “Listen Memoirs remix lp february…no date set working on target exclusive,” he wrote.

Rap-Up.com first reported about the project in early October. The as-yet-untitled LP, which producer Tricky Stewart describes as more of a “features” album, will include reworked versions of every song on Memoirs with the possibility of all-new material.

“We wanted to do an album that was really personal, and if you love Mariah Carey, you can put it on and listen to it all day,” Stewart told Rap-Up.com, “but at the same time, if you like the hot Mariah when she’s doing the features, we want to give people that option too, so that they can put on whichever one they choose.”

Featured guests already on board include Trey Songz (“Inseparable”), R. Kelly (“Betcha Gon’ Know”), T-Pain (“Candy Bling”), Gucci Mane (“Obsessed” and “H.A.T.E.U.”), Big Boi (“H.A.T.E.U.”), and OJ Da Juiceman (“H.A.T.E.U.”).
