Mariah Carey’s 2nd Single To Premiere Labor Day
According to Mariah Daily, Mariah’s 2nd single, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” will reportedly premiere at radio after Labor Day (Sept. 7). A firm date has yet to be announced. I’m very curious how Mariah will sound on this, and what they did with the track. As previously reported the record is a cover of Foreigner’s #1 record of the same name. This was already a huge song, can Mariah bring it back to #1 status? I am also wondering what is going on with this project. The first mention of the 2nd single was a record called, 100% Perfect, but that now seems to be the single off Mariah’s upcoming movie Precious. Then the second mention was the track, “H.A.T.E.U.”, written by The-Dream. His demo version was actually leaked, and it sounded great. Anyways, we will be patiently, sort of, waiting…
Beyonce To Perform @ 2009 MTV VMA’s
According to one of Beyonce’s dancers Ashley Everett (via Twitter), Beyonce WILL be performing at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on Sept 13th.
Maxwell’s BLACKsummer Night Certified Gold – Nears Platinum
Maxwell’s Billboard 200 chart-topping album “BlackSummers’night” is now RIAA certified. Featuring the hit singles “Pretty Wings” and “Bad Habits,” Maxwell earned RIAA Gold certification this month on the strength of several sold out tour dates and well received reviews. Swiftly moving past 500,000 copies, Maxwell’s first album in over six years, could reach Platinum-certified status in weeks.
In related news, Maxwell has expanded his summer tour and has even gone as far as setting up a fall tour that will make rounds through at least 10 cities in support of “Blacksummers’night”.

We are still going through it a few more times before we officially call it, but right now it’s at least a 4.5/5, but it could make its way up to a 5/5.
