LeToya Luckett & Lyfe Jennings Perform at Power 105 R&B Live @ BB Kings (NYC)

Here is footage of Wednesday night’s R&B Live at BB Kings, presented by Power 105. Performers included LeToya, Lyfe & Ryan Leslie. Waiting on footage of his performance, he performed his new single, “You’re Not My Girl”, and other new record, “Something That I Like” featuring Pusha T, whom made a surprise appearance.

Mario Renames New Album

Mario’s new album will no longer be called ‘And Then There Was Me’. In a recent interview he was discussing the idea of changing the title, due to the broad scope of styles the record was heading in. His official site now confirms that the R&B crooner has renamed his album to the simple, short and slightly odd D.N.A. The album D.N.A. is slated to drop in stores September 22nd.


Monica BET Series Coming In October

Monica has set a date for the anticipated BET hosted reality series MONICA. Slated to premiere Tuesday, October 27 on BET, MONICA follows the R&B singer as she works on her fifth album, launches a new clothing line and tackles the full time job of parenting two young sons.

According to BET, Monica is back in the spotlight with an intimate, behind-the-scenes view into her day-to-day world. This reality show will not only chronicle her personal life, but will take viewers along her journey as she works on her highly anticipated fifth studio album, appropriately titled Still Standing. The series will also highlight her efforts as she designs a high-end line of boys’ clothing called Regions of Rock, an “urban rock” line of clothing ranging from infant sizes to boys’ size 20.

Ready to show viewers and fans that anything is possible once you have set your mind to do it, Monica is strong, poised and vivacious in the forthcoming series.

In related news, Monica’s fifth studio album, “Still Standing,” arrives in stores and digital retailers this fall.

Mariah Carey To Hit Las Vegas

Mariah Carey is putting her chips down on a series of Las Vegas shows starting in September. The “Obsessed” singer will hit Sin City for what are being called “the most intimate shows of her career.” The special engagements will take place at The Pearl Theater at the Palms Resort & Casino on Friday, September 11, Saturday, September 12, Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10, 2009. Each performance will commence at 8 p.m.

The Vegas concerts will coincide with the release of Mariah’s 12th studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, due September 15.

Tickets for the shows go on sale Saturday, August 8, at 12 p.m. at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.
