New Music: Akon

Here is a brand new record from Akon feat. Lil’ Wayne, titled, “I’m So Paid”. This is the second single from Akon’s third studio album Freedom, scheduled to be released November 25th.

Jennifer Hudson On Walmart Soundcheck

Jennifer Hudson dropped by Walmart’s live concert series, Soundcheck, for an exclusive interview and performed some of the songs off her self-titled debut album that hit stores this week. Jhud used those famously moist vocals to blaze through songs like “All Dressed In Love” off the Sex In The City: The Movie soundtrack, “If This Isn’t Love”, the Robin Thicke penned, “Giving Myself” and first single, “Spotlight”. Here is the first single from singer/actor Christina Milian’s new album on Myspace Records. The single and album are titled the same, “Us Against The World”. The song was written by Makeba Riddick, and produced by Terry “Madd Scientist” Thomas.

News: Usher Announces “Here I Stand” Tour Dates

Usher will launch a 15-date club/theater tour in support of his latest album, “Here I Stand,” beginning Nov. 2 in Atlantic City, NJ and wrapping at the end of the month in Dallas, TX reports Live Daily. Stops along the way include a Nov. 8 show in Toronto and a two-night stand in Los Angeles.

“Here I Stand” was released in May and became Usher’s second consecutive No. 1 album in the US, selling 433,000 copies during its first week in stores. So far, the set has charted a half-dozen singles, including “Love in This Club,” “Moving Mountains” and “Trading Places.”
